Lukas Suarez

A San Diego native born-and-raised, Lukas had the privilege of being raised in a Christian family and growing up in a small Baptist Filipino-American church, which is where he came to saving faith. After college, Lukas then spent five years in the Valley (Phoenix, AZ) getting his MDiv, where he was a member, intern, and pastoral resident of worship at Trinity Bible Church. Lukas then moved back to San Diego to serve as pastoral resident for one year at the church he grew up in, San Diego Christian Fellowship.

Lukas became the Preaching and Teaching Pastor of our English service in November of 2024 and moved to the Valley (San Fernando Valley). He has a Bachelor of Science in Communication from San Diego State University and a Master of Divinity in Biblical and Theological Studies from Phoenix Seminary. Lukas enjoys a moving narrative, coffee, and a cozy hoodie.

Jin was born and raised in Osaka, Japan as a Korean-Japanese. He grew up in a non-Christian family and enjoyed playing sports (baseball, swimming, rugby etc.) from elementary to high school. After graduating from high school, he came to the U.S. to study at a community college (College of the Canyons) in Santa Clarita where he was invited to one of the Nichigo (Japanese language ministry) Bible studies of Crossway. One year later, he was led to saving faith in Jesus Christ at the "Shuyokai”, a Nichigo retreat within the OMS Holiness Conference and was baptized at Crossway in summer of 1999.

After finishing at College of the Canyons, he went back to Japan to receive seminary training at TBS, Tokyo Biblical Seminary. He did an internship at the Seoul Japanese church in Seoul, Korea for nine months. Then after graduating from TBS, he joined OMS Holiness Conference in 2006 and served at a church in Tucson, Arizona for five years. In 2011, he moved to Santa Clarita to serve at Crossway as the Nichigo pastor. Jin and his wife have four children, three boys and one girl, whom his wife homeschools.
